Web Hosting in a Computer May 3, 2010 at 8:11 am
Students using the computer do not always do better than other students. For example, although the students using a Dedicated Server for web hosting did better on tasks that required higher order thinking skills, they did not do better than the control students on tasks that required knowledge of specific information. This is because the computer did not give them additional effective learning time compared to the control group to pursue these relatively specific outcomes. The students in both groups were able to learn the specific information by attending to their assigned tasks.
Under certain circumstances using computer hosting such as Cheap Web Hosting and VPS Hosting might even detract from the learning process. For example, students who used computers in the preceding example might learn less about the practical aspects of carrying out an experiment or tabulating data than students who spend time carrying out an experiment. If teaching practical laboratory skills or data tabulation is an important instructional goal, students should spend at least part of their time doing experiments. Similarly, if it would take an extreme amount of time to set up computer equipment or to learn how to use it, this process might detract from, rather than increase, effective learning time related to appropriate instructional goals.
